OFFICE TEAM KAPPAteam members: Jason Timms and Ewan McClean I Knew Jason reasonably well from last year and we worked well together from the get go. This page shows the iner workings of our team. After choosing the atlanta centre for civil and human rights for our project we disscused how to break it into two equal parts. We didn't dwell too long on this because the building had two almost seperate forms. Two interlocking arms. I ended up modelling the Park side form and Jason took the street side. The two sections complemented each other but were inherently different. The intersecting areas were dificult the angled roof going under the oposite section. Because Jason got stuck with a large curainwall area i chose to do the the piece where his went under mine. we needed a base to work from so after we had all the infomation we needed i built the typograpy in revit and maped out each floor for both sections using raster images. i drew reference planes around certain constraints so that when we brought each section together they would fit. i gave a copy to Jason and we were away. Naming Conventions. I knew Revit family names would play an important role when our models went together. before Jason went away we chose some basic naming conventions. every time we agreed on a basic wall floor or roof construction we would name it CCHR.... this ment nomater what stage we were at indivitualy that wall or floor construction would be sorted. |
